1- Treasure:
Try to keep your jewelry in its original box, or if you prefer,
place them in your jeweler; do not keep several jewels in one place, as the friction between them can scratch them, specially if they have precious stones.
2- Clean:
If you want to clean your jewels, leave them for 10 minutes in warm water with mild soap, they can be cleansed with a soft brush, you dry them well and polish them afterwards with a polishing cloth. It is best not to use sea water, cleaning materials or chemicals.
3- Polish:
Silver jewelry often tend to oxidize when exposed to air, depending on the weather or the ph of the wearer. Avoid contact with perfumes, lacquers, chlorine, sea water, moisturizing creams, sweat or alcohol. Storing them in its packaging will help to slow this process.
4-Take care of:
Pieces with patina finishes are delicate, to preserve their color, try not to scratch them, drop them or keep them with other jewels; keep them away from sweat or alkaline agents.
5-Wear:
Use your jewelry at the last moment,
just before you leave!
After applying makeup, perfume, hairspray or creams; for all these substances can affect the brightness of your pieces and the lifetime of your precious stones.
